METEOROLOGICAL AND HYDROLOGICAL MONITORING

20/08/2020

Meteorological and Hydrological Monitoring is an extremely important and urgent job; especially climate change is happening at an increasingly rapid rate.

STRESS MEASUREMENT

20/08/2020

Stress measurement in rock is a method to determine local stress in a rock mass and local stress after taking rock sample out of drilling site. The method is applied for hydroelectric projects, underground tunnels. With this method, we will know the properties and behavior of the rock in order to evaluate the level and predict the behavior of the rock mass movements, from which there are solutions for treatment.

Pothole repair made eco-friendly using grit from wastewater treatment

18/08/2020

Potholes are aggravating to drive over, and they can cause billions of dollars of damage every year to automobiles. Now, scientists report a brand-new way to repair roads that's also eco-friendly - by using a remnant of wastewater treatment called grit that's usually disposed of in landfills.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT BY MBBR

Better wastewater treatment? It's a wrap

20/07/2020

Summary : A shield of graphene helps particles destroy antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the free-floating genes in wastewater treatment plants.

Make wastewater drinkable again

27/04/2020

Delivering water to city dwellers can become far more efficient, according to Rice University researchers who say it should involve a healthy level of recycled wastewater.

New wastewater treatment process removes health hazardous chemicals

30/03/2020

Summary : A research team has developed a novel wastewater treatment system that can effectively remove conventional pollutants, and recover valuable resources such as phosphorus and organic materials. This novel system combines chemically enhanced primary sedimentation of sewage with acidogenic fermentation of sludge in tandem, can effectively remove trace emerging chemical contaminants from wastewater and is more cost effective compared with conventional wastewater treatment systems.
